“The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein,”
Everything we have is a gracious entrustment from God…our time, our treasures and our talents.
In 1 Peter 4:10 we are told "...each [of us] has received gift..." and we are called to "...use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace...". Serving is a joyful responsibility of every Christian. We encourage our people to serve in one area of need and one area of passion or interest.
Current Service Areas of Need
CW Kids
Our CW Kids Team is made up of teachers, assistants, substitutes, coordinators, and check-in hosts. CW Kids servants are assigned to a specific classroom, varying from infants to 3rd grade. To work with our children you have to be a covenant member of Crossway, complete a background check and interview with the CW Kids Director. You also have to love Jesus and love children!
Rising Tide
Crossway’s Rising Tide is our 4th & 5th grade ministry designed to bridge the gap between CW Kids and CW Youth. This group gives students the opportunity to dive deeper into God’s Word, build meaningful friendships, and begin applying biblical truth to their everyday lives. We’re looking for volunteers to serve on Wednesday nights as we encourage students to love the Lord with all their hearts, minds, and souls. Volunteers must be Crossway members and complete a background check.
CW Youth
Crossway’s CW Youth Team helps lead and encourage our 6th–12th grade students as they grow in their faith and community with one another. Students gather each Wednesday night at Mosley Academy to discuss the previous Sunday’s sermon, spend time in smaller groups, and pray together. We’re looking for leaders who are excited to build relationships with students, lead discussions, and help support events throughout the year.
Camino Niños
Camino Niños is the children’s ministry for Camino de la Cruz, serving families in our Spanish-speaking congregation. We’re looking for volunteers to help support and encourage these families as the ministry continues to grow and flourish. Volunteers serve during the Sunday 4pm service, typically about once a month, helping create a welcoming and Christ-centered environment for children. Volunteers must be members of Crossway Wilmington and complete a background check.
AV / Tech Team
Crossway’s AV / Tech Team serves behind the scenes to help support our worship gatherings through sound, visuals, and technology. Team members help run audio during rehearsals and services, prepare and present slides and videos, and assist with podcast production throughout the week. This team is a great fit for those who enjoy using their technical gifts to serve the church and help create a smooth and distraction-free worship environment.
SAFE Team
Crossway’s SAFE Team helps create a secure and welcoming environment during Sunday gatherings and special events. Team members walk the grounds, monitor access points to the sanctuary and CW Kids areas, and help ensure the safety of everyone on site. Their presence allows our church family to worship, learn, and gather with peace of mind in a safe environment. All members of this team are required to be members and complete a background check.
Connect Team
Crossway’s CONNECT Team is made up of the friendly faces that welcome people as they walk through our doors each Sunday. Team members help visitors feel seen, informed, and connected by answering questions about CW Kids, Life Groups, BELONG, serving opportunities, and more. This team serves as Crossway’s first hand of hospitality, helping create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who attends.
Educational Outreach
Crossway’s Educational Outreach Team seeks to serve and encourage teachers, students, and schools throughout our community in tangible and meaningful ways. This team helps create opportunities to support local educators, meet practical needs, and share the love of Christ through acts of service and encouragement. Whether through school partnerships, teacher appreciation efforts, or community outreach initiatives, the Educational Outreach Team desires to be a steady source of care and support for the schools around us.
