Someone once wisely said: "The health of a church is not in its seating capacity but its sending capacity".
One of our passions is planting (sending and starting) new churches, and we firmly believe this is the blueprint established in the Scriptures for the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Mt 28:18-20).
In the Spring of 2017 Crossway Chapel of Wilmington sent Pastor James Larrabee and his family to plant Parkview Community Church in upstate New York.
You can check out the videos below for some updates as well as a bit of historical context on how Crossway came to plant this new church:
God is adding people to our church family from every walk of life. We want to avoid growing solely by the transfer of Christians from other churches in the community. We want to see people transformed not transferred -- Transformed into a passionate, purposeful individual who loves God and loves others. This is the type of growth we are committed to. God may very well have us grow to become a very large church, but if that happens we believe it would only be so that we can more effectively multiply followers of Christ, small groups and churches.
Since the first Crossway Chapel (Mountain View Community Church) was birthed in April of 1993, the Crossway Chapel network has grown to 20+ churches at different stages of development.
We are convinced that this movement of dynamic multiplying churches has only just begun and we are confident God will open up doors for this network of churches to spread throughout the United States and the world. Check out all of the Crossway Chapel churches.
God is moving and it is a joy and privilege to be a part! Would you prayerfully consider joining us!
