But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8
One of our priorities is planting (sending and starting) new churches. This multiplication mandate is established in the Scriptures for the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Mt 28:18-20).
The church is a people both “called out” of the world and “sent into” the world as witnesses to the gospel. Engaging in mission means living as sent ones in the places we live, work, learn and play.
Some of us will GO, some of us will SEND, all of us will GIVE and all of us will PRAY to make Jesus known and extend His Kingdom in the world.
On September 25, 2021 we sent out one of our pastors, Jason Faircloth, along with his wife, Kate, and their three boys. We have since sent several additional families and individuals to Burgaw to be a part of strengthening this gospel-preaching church in Burgaw.
CAMINO DE LA CRUZ
Puerto Escondido, Mexico
In 2016 Crossway sent Rob Moser along with his wife, Maria, and their five children to provide pastoral leadership to a new church plant, Camino De La Cruz. Rob planted and faithfully pastored the church for four years and in the Summer of 2020 Nathan Cedarland stepped into the lead pastor role of Camino De La Cruz. We praise God for what He is doing in Mexico and we are praying for and pursuing additional church plants in Oaxaca and beyond.
In 2014 a family from Crossway started Global Education Ministries with a vision to start gospel saturated schools. Manantial School was started and God has used it substantially to reach students and families with the gospel in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. There are now a total of three schools in Mexico in addition to several others internationally.
